According to the Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project, tolling for the bridge will now start on Thursday, April 24. Bridge officials said the delay was caused by inclement weather.
Drivers are still being advised to set up a GeauxPass account to get a free and required transponder sticker.
Plaquemines Parish residents can qualify for a reduced toll rate by using a GeauxPass, operating a Class 1 vehicle and providing proof of residency through a driver’s license and vehicle registration with a Plaquemines Parish address.
