Rockford woman accused of kneeling on a 12-year-old girl's neck
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Marisol Perez, 32, for aggravated domestic battery causing strangulation, among other charges.

On April 21, around 10:42 p.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of Benton Street for reports of domestic violence.

Perez told authorities that a 12-year-old girl attacked her during an argument.

The victim told officials that Perez kicked and slapped her, which led to the suspect kneeling on her neck.

Both Perez and the victim had visible injuries, police reported.

Perez is charged with aggravated battery of a child causing bodily harm, domestic battery causing bodily harm and aggravated domestic battery causing strangulation.

Perez was granted pretrial release on April 22nd, according to court records.
