It’s at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Westwego Civic Association at 1220 Avenue H in Westwego.
The theme is “Now & Then.”
There’s a purpose to what’s called Positive Image Fashion Show Extravaganza.
It’s to bring the community together to share knowledge, experiences and support strategies that can make a difference in the lives of people who have autism and the rest of the world around them.
The models are all kids who learn modeling etiquette and charm.
“It enhances everything that they do. In school, out of school, in my classroom here at modeling school. These kids are absolutely amazing,” said Leslie Shelby.
The money made goes to St. Michael Special School.
