Molina Healthcare’s mobile clinic visits Rockford, providing free healthcare services

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A “mobile health center” from Molina Health Care made a stop in the Forest City on Tuesday to encourage low-income residents to seek medical services.

The traveling clinic, a custom Winnebago RV, makes stops across the state, complete with two exam rooms, a lab station, and a waiting area.

Molina says it helps them offer no-cost services to underserved communities.

“We really focus on preventative health care…because a lot of people will wait until they have a symptom to go into the emergency room,” said program manager Rebecca Kidd. “We want to help reduce that risk, and help them manage it, so they’re not having to go into the emergency room.”
