Evidence located at the scene suggests impairment was possibly a factor in the crash. Toxicology results are pending. More information will be released following an autopsy, VPD said.

The identity of the person killed in the crash is being withheld until their family is notified. The death is Vallejo’s fifth traffic-related fatality of 2025.
