AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – An Aiken woman has been arrested in a hit and run that happened in Early April
Reports say on April 4th, Aiken County Deputies responded to Abbeville Avenue and York Street regarding a person being hit by a car. The victim was breathing but unconscious.
Witnesses told law enforcement that a person in white van, later identified as Elena Herrera-Cruz, took off from the scene.
After reviewing video, deputies also realized that Herra-Cruz had on a bright orange shirt and released the information to the public and media.

Herra-Cruz is charged with Felony Hit and Run. She remains in the Aiken County Jail.
