Man shot and wounded on CTA Blue Line train

CHICAGO — A man was shot and wounded on a CTA Blue Line train Sunday night.

The shooting happened on a CTA train car around 9:15 p.m. on the 400 block of South Racine.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a person shot at the Blue Line. Upon arrival, police discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the upper right thigh.

The victim was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition. No other injuries were reported.

No one is in custody and Area Three Detectives are investigating.

CTA Blue Line trains heading to Chicago O’Hare International Airport were delayed Sunday night at the Racine stop as police investigated the shooting.
