Man arrested for accidentally shooting 5-year-old child

(WPHL)– Philadelphia Police have arrested a 24-year-old man after he accidentally discharged a gun and shot a 5-year-old child, police say.

Nasir Baskerville was arrested and charged with Possessing an Instrument of Crime (PIC), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP), and Tampering with Evidence.

Police say the 5-year-old boy was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital on April 19 with a laceration to his left hand.
