The Monticello Police Department announced that around 2:30 p.m., Jonathan Carlton, 32, was arrested at the Walmart in the Cumberland Crossing Center.
The police said that Carlton told his son to push a cart filled with unpaid merchandise out of Walmart. He was said to have left the store without his son before he later tried to leave with the cart.
