IDENTIFIED: Man dies after being shot at Visalia party

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE)- A man has died following a shooting Saturday night at a house party, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says.

Just after 9:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 31700 block of Road 148 in a rural area northeast of the city.

Reports indicated that there was a victim of a shooting, so deputies responded to the location.

They say they arrived to find 22-year-old Richard Garcia suffering from two gunshot wounds to his chest. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he died.

Investigators learned the shooting was a result of a verbal argument at the party.
