Berea man killed in Rockcastle County head-on crash

BRODHEAD, Ky. (FOX 56) — Authorities are investigating after a 21-year-old Berea man was killed in a head-on crash on Sunday afternoon in Rockcastle County.

It happened just before 4 p.m. on Sunday on Brindle Ridge Road, state police said in a news release.

An initial investigation showed that a boy from Brodhead was driving a blue 2015 Ford F-250 heading south on Brindle Ridge Road when he allegedly crossed the center line into northbound traffic, resulting in a head-on crash with a 2005 Dodge Neon being driven by 21-year-old Jacob Madden of Berea.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

The Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office pronounced Madden dead at the scene, KSP said.

The Brodhead juvenile driver and another juvenile who was a passenger in the Ford F-250 were taken to Rockcastle Regional Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The deadly crash investigation remains ongoing.
