Easter Sunday in Lafayette: Windy, cloudy, low rain chances

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Easter Sunday will see plentiful cloud cover and windy conditions, though rain chances remain low. An isolated shower will be possible especially the farther north and west you are in the area. Highs reach the mid 80s. Tonight, warm and humid conditions continue.

Higher rain chances return to the area Monday as southerly winds continue to bring in humidity. The best storm chance comes during the afternoon hours as high temperatures reach the mid 80s once again. Winds will be a bit lower, though still gusty at times during the afternoon.

Through the rest of the week, daily storm chances will develop keeping temperatures from getting too hot. By midweek, rain chances will be around 60 percent as a weak cold front stalls just north of the area. This will continue through the end of the week before rain chances back off a bit towards next weekend.
