According to the Chicago Police Department, officers were on patrol in the South Shore neighborhood around 2:45 a.m. when they heard gunfire nearby. Police said they tracked the gunfire to a residence in the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue, where they found three men were shot.
Two of the men, a 31-year-old and a 37-year-old, were shot multiple times each and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were both later pronounced dead.
A 24-year-old man who was shot in the arm was also taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he is listed in good condition.
Police have no one in custody as Area One detectives head up the investigation.
