LA Christian women win first match in RRAC tournament

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The Louisiana Christian women’s tennis team got its first win in a conference tournament in the modern era at the expense of another local team.

The #5 seed Lady Wildcats toppled the #4 seed LSUS 4-3 in the quarterfinals of the Red River Athletic Conference tournament. The Lady Wildcats move on to play the #1-seeded LSU Alexandria. LSUA advanced to the semifinals with a convincing win over Rust College.

In the bottom half of the bracket, Xavier beat Texarkana, and Lady of the Lake upset Dillard. The Red River Athletic Conference tournament continues today and concludes Saturday at the Blossom Center in San Antonio, Texas.
