Easter ‘Eggstravaganza’ in Baton Rouge to give out Easter baskets, free crawfish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Families in East Baton Rouge Parish are invited to a fun-filled afternoon at the ‘Eggstravaganza’ on Sunday, April 30.

The celebration kicks off at 2:30 p.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m. at the corner of North Sherwood Forest Boulevard and Big Bend.

Highlights include:

  • A helicopter egg drop by Sheriff Sid Gautreaux, releasing 5,000 eggs for children to collect.
  • Free Easter baskets for kids.
  • Photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.
  • Live performances by Cupid & Cozy Men.
  • A crawfish boil, while supplies last.
  • Free food, games, and music throughout the day.
