Law enforcement confirmed that Evan Michael Sevin-Chauvin was taken into custody yesterday by Bossier Parish detectives.
Bossier Sheriff’s office says that upon learning the allegations, the school officials immediately contacted law enforcement.
“We are greatly disturbed by the nature of the charges brought against this former educator and are cooperating with law enforcement to the fullest extent. It is important to note that at this time, investigators do not believe students were involved in or actually witnessed any of the inappropriate behavior he is accused of committing. Bossier Schools has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to inappropriate behavior in the presence of juveniles, and this former educator is no longer working in our school system,” says Bossier Parish Schools in a statement.
According to the news release, he was transported to the Bossier Max for processing.
His bond is set at $150,000. This case is still under investigation.
