PICTURES: Volunteers show up to groom, treat 156 animals rescued in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — Volunteers showed up at the Weber County Animal Service shelter on Friday to bathe, deworm and treat over 100 animals rescued earlier this week.

A total of 156 animals, which include 146 dogs and 10 cats, were rescued from an Ogden home on April 16, where they were

reportedly living in “extremely poor and overcrowded” conditions, according to the Ogden Police Department.

A handful of other shelters have also stepped up to take care of some of the animals.

Officials with the Weber County Animal Services say the rescued animals will not be up for adoption until April 21.
