Pennsylvania Fine Wine & Good Spirits store closes after ceiling collapses

MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. (WHTM) — A Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Northumberland County closed its doors after the ceiling inside collapsed.

According to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), the Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at 136 South Oak Street in Mount Carmel is closed until further notice.

PLCB says the ceiling on the inside of the store recently collapsed. The store is now being evaluated to ensure the health and safety of customers and employees.

Moving forward, customers in the area are encouraged to shop at other nearby locations which includes:

  • 630 Centre St., Ashland, Schuylkill County
  • The Plaza at Coal Township, 9345 State Rte. 61, Coal Township, Northumberland County
  • 9 Gold Star Plaza, Shenandoah, Schuylkill County

According to PLCB, they regulate and distribute beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania and operate about 575 wine and spirits stores statewide. The board also licenses more than 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers.
