Marshall police honored for efforts to strengthen community ties

MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — The New Town Neighborhood Association recognized the Marshall Police Department (MPD) during their S.O.U.P. (Serving Others Unifying People) event.

Held at Mt. Zion Spiritual Church #2, the event included a community meal, a recognition ceremony, and entertainment.

MPD officers were recognized for their involvement in neighborhood discussions, support of Spring and Fall Clean-Up efforts, and overall commitment to strengthening community ties.

Police Chief Cliff Carruth is happy with his officers’ work, saying, “It means a great deal to be recognized by the community we proudly serve, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to connect with and support our neighborhoods.”
