BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Local authorities have arrested and terminated a corrections officer on alleged ‘criminal charges related to his employment’ at the Bossier Parish Correctional Facility.
Corrections Officer Colton Davis was hired by the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 23, 203, according to the news release. BPSO states that Davis was arrested for two counts of malfeasance in office and two counts of introducing contraband into a correctional facility.
The BPSO inmate catalog notes Davis is 19 years old.
“The actions of this individual are not representative of the men and women who serve in this office with honor and integrity. We hold our employees to a higher standard and will not tolerate unlawful activity. Mr. Davis has been terminated from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Julian Whittington.
Davis was taken into custody and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for processing.
This case is still under investigation.
