ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Michael Mutimer, 41, for breaking down a door and kicking a woman in the face, according to court records.

On April 16, around 11 a.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of Timber Trail for reports of domestic violence. The victim had visible injuries, deputies reported.

The woman told officials that Mutimer broke down a door to a room where she barricaded herself and began yelling at her.

He proceeded to kick her in the face as well as hit her with a full beer can, court records show.

Authorities reported that a child was in danger during the incident.

Mutimer is charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm, endangering a child and disorderly conduct.
