It’s almost time to grab your fishing poles and head to the IH Clubhouse lake for the annual fishing rodeo. The fun event is back and promises a morning full of fun, friendly competition, and fresh air for local kids!
The event will take place on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 4523 Canada Road, Lakeland, TN 38002 (IH Clubhouse). Open to children ages 4 to 12, the rodeo is designed to introduce young anglers to the joys of fishing in a safe, family-friendly environment. All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
To ensure everyone gets a chance to shine, sessions will be held every 15 minutes, and some exciting prizes are on the line! Awards will be given for:
- Longest Fish
- Most Fish Caught – Boys
- Most Fish Caught – Girls
Participants are asked to bring their own bait and fishing pole, so come prepared for action. Pre-registration is required, so be sure to reserve your spot early by visiting www.lakelandtn.gov/registration (under special events).
Proudly sponsored by TWRA and S.Y. Wilson of Arlington, this event is a great way for kids to connect with nature, build memories, and maybe even take home a prize.
