Driver injured after 18-wheeler rollover on I-20 in Abilene

The crash happened near mile marker 283 just after 8:00 a.m.

Police the scene say an 18-wheeler that was traveling westbound on the interstate lost control and went into a median then up an embankment of a bridge, which caused it to rollover into the eastbound lanes of I-20.

The driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries, and no one else was involved in this crash.

Eastbound lanes of I-20 were closed during this incident, and traffic was being rerouted onto the Winters Freeway.
