SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened Tuesday evening.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. at 900 West 200 North, and the intersection is closed while officials investigate. The motorcyclist was located at the scene with critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Officials said no additional information about the motorcyclist is not being released, pending the notification of their next-of-kin. The car that crashed into the motorcyclist was reportedly turning left from 200 North to travel southbound on 900 West.
“The motorcyclist was going north on 900 West when it collided with the car,” SLCPD said. “The driver of the car involved in the crash remained on scene.”
Officials said “there is no indication of impairment” at this point in the investigation. No other injuries were reported.
