The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gymnasium on the organization’s 55-acre gated campus. It is open to anyone interested in careers in caregiving, support services, or residential care. On-the-spot interviews will be available.
“Our team is growing, and we’re looking for people who want to make a real difference every day,” said Mechelle Powell, human resources manager at St. Mary’s. “We’re proud to offer better pay, better support, and a better work culture for professionals who believe in the power of care.”
St. Mary’s is encouraging job seekers to bring a completed application, available on the Employment tab of stmarysalexandria.org, though it is not required to attend.
Founded in 1953, St. Mary’s is a nonprofit intermediate care facility that provides individualized services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The facility is one of the few in Louisiana that accepts residents as young as age 3, employing more than 300 professionals.
Those unable to attend the job fair are encouraged to apply online or call for more information about available roles in residential, clinical, and support departments.
