High-resolution satellite data led to the discovery of the new tornado on April 2. It was a short-lived tornado as it was only on the ground for two minutes. The tornado first touched down at 9:15 p.m. and lifted at 9:17 p.m. The tornado damaged several homes and bent a small utility pole. The estimated peak wind was 100 mph and was on the ground for 1.53 miles.
This officially brings the state total to 45 tornadoes for the year, with 22 of them on April 2nd.
