Coroner’s office identifies man found in Mississippi River

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Officials have released the identity of a man who was recovered from the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge.

According to the East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office, 24-year-old Adrian Ramirez of Dallas has been identified as the victim.

On April 1, deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office launched their boat and recovered a body from the water.

Multiple agencies, including the Baton Rouge Fire Department and emergency medical services, were called to South River Road.

The cause of death is still unknown at this time.
