Woman airlifted to hospital after train crashes into car in Newfield Borough

(WPHL)– A woman was airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries after a train collided with a car in Newfield Borough.

According to the Franklin Township Police Department, this all happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Catawba Avenue and West Boulevard

The female was taken to Cooper Hospital.

Catawba Avenue was closed in both directions after the crash.

The circumstances of the crash have not been revealed at this time.
