SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — Officers with the Slidell Police Department are investigating a crash that left one person dead on Sunday, April 13.
The SPD reported that the crash happened on West Hall Avenue near the intersection of Weilwood Drive around 4 p.m.
Officers said an initial investigation shows that a Honda driving on Weilwood Drive was trying to turn left onto West Hall Avenue while a Can-Am Spyder was heading east on West Hall Avenue. The vehicles then reportedly collided, causing the driver of the Can-Am to be ejected.

Slidell police identified the Can-Am driver as 35-year-old Akeem Holden, who suffered fatal injuries.

SPD officials said the investigation is ongoing and routine toxicology samples were collected.
