New bleachers taking shape at Veterans Memorial Stadium

SHENANDOAH – Spectators at Veterans Memorial Stadium will have a different seating experience this fall as the grandstand replacement project is taking shape.

Aluminum bleachers are replacing the wooden grandstands .

The school board approved a $507,3000 contract last November to replace the stands, which were the last wooden football grandstands in the county.

They’d become more difficult to repair and keep safe, school officials said.
