Mountain Home makes outstanding impression at Bassmaster Open; near future events possible

While the weather may have cut the St. Croix Bassmaster Open short, the impression the City of Mountain Home made on the team behind it will last for years to come.

Hank Weldon, the Executive Director of Tournaments for Bassmaster, sent a letter to Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams to thank him for his leadership and the excellent hospitality and support Mountain Home showed during the tournament. Especially recognizing the efforts of the Advertising and Promotion Commission and Buzzard’s Roost Boat Dock.

Because of the outstanding experience Bassmaster had in Mountain Home, they have offered the city first right of refusal to host a Bassmaster Elite Qualifier event in Oct. or Nov. 2026.

Weldon says “We believe the combination of your team’s dedication and the community’s enthusiasm would make for another unforgettable tournament. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the near future.”
