MH Parks and Recreation accepting registrations for Intro to Kayaking

The Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for another outdoor recreation program at the end of the spring. Registrations for Intro to Kayaking are being accepted through May 23 with sessions in June being divided up by youth and adults.

Recreation Coordinator Andrew McNair was a guest on Thursday’s edition of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and he says the instructor will be teaching the basics of kayaking.

The cost is $25 for each participant. Youth sessions will be for ages 8 to 15 on June 9 or 19, and the adult sessions for ages 16 and older are set for June 12 or 16. Each session will be in the morning from 9 to 10:30 at McCabe Park.

McNair says participants will not be required to bring their own kayaks.
