The incident happened on Clark Avenue around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14.
Police said an officer responded to the area after they received a call about shots being fired. They said the suspect, Luther Myers, 33, fired shots after the officer arrived at the scene.
Additional police officers responded to the location. They said there was a brief stand-off. Myers eventually came out of a home and was arrested without incident. No injuries were reported.
Myers made his initial appearance in court on Tuesday, April 15. He was charged with three counts of being a convicted felon with a firearm, aggravated assault on a police officer (attempted) and being in possession of a stolen firearm.
Myers’ bond was set at $350,000.
