Banks man gave minors drugs, alcohol before sexually abusing them, deputies say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Banks man is under investigation after more than one minor came forward saying they had been sexually abused by him for years, and police say he might have had other victims.

Michael Wormington, 47, was arrested on April 8 after the victims — who remain unnamed — reported the abuse. He faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, and two counts of unlawful delivery of marijuana.

“…Detectives learned the sexual abuse had occurred for several years, but the victims had not reported it until now,” officials said. “The juvenile victims also reported Wormington gave them alcohol and marijuana during interactions.”

Investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office say they have reason to believe Wormington had other victims. Anyone with information about him is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
