1 man dead, 2 injured after North Philadelphia triple shooting

(WPHL)–One man is dead while two other men are injured after a shooting in North Philadelphia on Monday night.

Police said it all happened at around 7:30 p.m. near the 1500 block of North 18th Street.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they found three men had been shot.

One man was transported to Temple University Hospital where he died just after 7:40 p.m., according to police.

Investigators have not released the identity of the victim who died.

Police said two other men were also transported to Temple University Hospital for their injuries.

According to the Inquirer, the second victim was listed in critical condition and the third was listed in stable condition as of Monday night, police said.

One man, who owns a store nearby, said he heard it all happen.

“It’s scary and makes you nervous, but at the same time, I’m used to this,” said Ramon Cruz

Cruz said this isn’t the first time a shooting has happened near his store.

“It’s like the third or fourth time it happened,” said Cruz. “I almost got hit the last time, I almost got hit, but thank God that I’m still here,” he added.

No arrests have been made and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

Police are reportedly looking for two vehicles that left the scene, according to the Inquirer.

As the investigation continues, police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call 215-686-TIPS.
