Woman and child arrested in violent home invasion near Rockford Police headquarters
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 33-year-old woman and a 12-year-old child were arrested Sunday in connection to a home invasion in which multiple people were injured in a fight.

According to Rockford Police, officers were called to the 400 block of S. New Towne Drive, at the Grove at Keith Creek housing development, across from Rockford Police District 2 Headquarters, for a report of a large fight.

Witnesses told police that Jamie Quarles, 33, and the juvenile offender entered the apartment and around 7:25 p.m. and began fighting with the occupants within.

Quarles was charged with Home Invasion, Battery, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.

The 12-year-old was charged with Mob Action, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest.
