Police investigate officer-involved shooting in southeastern Pennsylvania

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Police in southeastern Pennsylvania are investigating an officer-involved shooting.

West Chester Police were called to South Church Street in the borough around 2:50 p.m., the department said.

Shots were fired and a suspect was taken into custody around 3:55 p.m.

Chester County Detectives are investigating, and the West Chester Borough Police Department is cooperating, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities did not say who fired shots or if anyone was struck, but both the District Attorney’s Office and the police department referred to the incident as an officer-involved shooting.
