Philly Portal relocates to City Hall courtyard

(WPHL)–The Philadelphia Portal has officially relocated from Love Park.

Now situated across the street, the Portal has found its new home at the City Hall Courtyard.

This new location comes the public was tasked with voting on whether the Portal should stay in Love Park or relocate to City Hall.

Another piece of news is that the Philadelphia Portal will also stay in the city throughout July 2026, “thanks to the incredible support of The Bean Foundation the Philadelphia Portal will remain in the city for two more years, through our nation’s 250th birthday celebration in July 2026.”

This morning, the Philadelphia Portal began its “journey from LOVE Park with a police escort and celebratory parade along the Ben Franklin Parkway.” The parade stopped at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, “giving the world a glimpse of visitors racing up the iconic “Rocky Steps.”, and then proceeded to the City Hall Courtyard.

This comes after the Portal was temporarily out of commission in February after thieves stole copper wire from the art installation.
