Illegal dice game in Pearl leads to man being shot in head: police

PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Pearl police said an illegal game of dice led to a man being shot in the head.

The incident occurred at George Kersh Apartments around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.

Pearl Police Chief Nick McLendon said officers found the 23-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a local hospital. As of Sunday, April 13, the victim was in stable condition.

McLendon said investigators have identified a suspect, but the suspect is not in custody.
