Huron officers save toddler’s life

HURON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The heroic efforts of police officers saved a toddler’s life in Huron Friday morning, the Huron Police Department announced.

Police say around 10:40 a.m. they responded to a medical call near the Palmer Heights Apartment on Lassen Avenue for a report of a child who was not breathing.

Responding officers reported Officer Grove quickly assessed the 1-and-a-half-year-old child who appeared to be lifeless.

Officers immediately performed life-saving measures and upon providing CPR, police say the child began breathing and crying.

Huron police say the child was ultimately taken to Valley Children’s Hospital for care.
