Subaru of Portland giving away free trees ahead of Earth Day

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Just in time for Earth Day and Arbor Day later this month, Subaru of Portland is helping give out 100,000 trees.

The dealership is working with the Arbor Day Foundation to hand out trees and help make that goal a success.

Subaru says the work is not only in honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day, which is April 22 and April 25 respectively, but it’s also part of an ongoing effort to reforest land damaged by wildfires.

“It’s the best part of the job, giving back to the community that supports us,” Tyler Boucher, sales manager at Subaru of Portland, told KOIN 6 News. “We’re nothing without customers and working for Subaru … makes it all worth it, full circle.”
