The Aggies got on the board in the top of the first. Camden Cullen knocked a double into center field and an error allowed both him and Colton Jennings to score, giving Fairview a 2-0 lead. The Aggies added to their lead in the second inning. Collin Nelson walked and Nic Gregory and Lincoln Wright both singled to load the bases. A few pitches later, Connor Scott drove a bases-clearing double into right field to make it a 5-0 game. An RBI single from Cullen stretched the lead to 6-0 and Jackson Earnest lifted an RBI double to right field to make it 7-0. A balk allowed one more run to score before the end of the inning, putting Fairview in front 8-0 going into the third.
After a scoreless third inning, Jaxon Robertson drove an RBI single into right field to give the Aggies a 9-0 lead in the fourth. Cullen and Scott both scored on an error in the top of the fifth to extend the lead to 11-0. Brewer was able to put one run on the board in the bottom half of the fifth, but it was all the Patriots could chip away and Fairview went on to win it 11-1.
Robertson went all five innings on the mound to earn the win, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. At the plate, Scott (two hits) led the way with three RBIs. Cullen (one RBI) and Barrett York each recorded a pair of hits as well.
