Emergency crews responded to a home on County Road 195 around 3:30 p.m. on April 11 after receiving reports of a fire and possible explosion.
According to nearby residents, at least one person was transported to Hendrick Medical Center with minor injuries. It’s currently unclear how many individuals were inside the home at the time of the explosion.
KTAB/KRBC has reached out to the Anson Volunteer Fire Department for official comment, but no formal statement has been released as of this report.
Witnesses say the explosion happened while a man was attempting to convert the home’s energy source from natural gas to propane. The condition of that individual has not been confirmed. Neighbors have reported that the displaced family has secured temporary housing.
