Vehicle fire causes lane closure on I-20 West in Rankin County

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities have blocked part of Interstate 20 in Rankin County due to a vehicle fire.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the incident occurred on I-20 West at Highway 18 East on Friday, April 11.

According to MDOT, the right lane of I-20 West has been blocked while emergency crews respond to the scene.

There’s no word on any injuries.
