The Parish of Caddo says the program’s applicants must be 16 years of age and residents of Caddo Parish. The ten-week program will run from Tuesday, May 28, 2025, to Friday, August 2, 2025.
The organization says undergraduates and college students can earn $11 per hour, and high school students earn $9 working across different departments and participating agencies, such as finance, human resources, animal services, public works, and more.
The Summer Youth Work Program provides students with hands-on experience in local government, career exploration, and essential job readiness skills.
‘Summer workers will have access to training workshops covering topics such as Emotional Intelligence, Customer Service, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership, as well as Ethics, Harassment, and a new employee orientation,’ notes the organization.
The 2024 Summer Job Program is organized by the Parish of Caddo and supported by our program partners.
Applications will be accepted online through the Parish of Caddo website until April 13.
They say for more information or accommodations to complete the online application, contact hrd@caddo.org.
