OTTSVILLE, Bucks County – A Schuylkill County man is in the Bucks County Jail after state troopers say he stole $1,000 worth of $2 bills.

Erik Meulstee, 42, of Pottsville, is accused of felony burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property.

According to State Police at Dublin, the break-in happened around 6:30pm March 31 at a home on South Park Road in Nockamixon Township.

Troopers said ten boxes of twelve mint quarters were stolen, valued at $2,040, as well as $1,000 worth of $2 bills, a chainsaw, and weed whackers.

Meulstee was arrested and charged.

He was arraigned April 3 and committed to Bucks County Prison, unable to post 10% of $100,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for next Monday.
