Pointe Coupee Parish deputies arrest man accused of breaking into homes, theft

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on Wednesday in connection to the theft of guns, money, and cars.

Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux confirmed that Garrett Graffia was wanted on multiple charges across two parishes, including burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, theft of a motor vehicle, and unauthorized use of an access card. He is also wanted on home invasion charges in another parish.

A female accomplice identified as Courtney Bergeron was arrested on charges of accessory after the fact.

“As promised, anyone who is proven to aid and abet wanted fugitives will be arrested and brought to justice,” said Lt. Cedrick Epps.
