This free community event will be at the Eden Gardens banquet hall in town and aims to shine a light on the challenges faced by individuals with special needs, like autism spectrum disorder, as well as their families.
The Autism Awareness Expo serves as a platform to showcase the various resources available to support these families in their journey.
In addition to guest speakers sharing their insights, experiences, and valuable information about how families can better care for their loved ones with special needs, well over a dozen organizations, including Autism Speaks, CHOP, NeurAbilities Healthcare, and Special Olympics, will be on site providing details on much needed programs and services.
This expo was started by Deputy Mayor Jessica Rafeh, and she joined us in the PHL17 studio to talk to us all about it.
