The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 56 that around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, David Jordan, 56, and Sheila Smith, 47, were arrested outside of a residence on Broad Street in London.
“One of the individuals taken into custody stated that she just went inside the residence to use their Wi-Fi,” deputies said in a news release.
Court documents show that investigators allegedly found several glass pipes in Smith’s bag.
Smith and Jordan were both charged with third-degree burglary and public intoxication under a controlled substance.
They were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
The burglary investigation remains ongoing.
