London pair allegedly broke into Broad Street home 'to use Wi-Fi'
LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man and woman were charged with burglary and public intoxication on Wednesday after allegedly being found inside a residence illegally on Broad Street in London.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 56 that around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, David Jordan, 56, and Sheila Smith, 47, were arrested outside of a residence on Broad Street in London.

“One of the individuals taken into custody stated that she just went inside the residence to use their Wi-Fi,” deputies said in a news release.

Court documents show that investigators allegedly found several glass pipes in Smith’s bag.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Smith and Jordan were both charged with third-degree burglary and public intoxication under a controlled substance.

They were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

The burglary investigation remains ongoing.
